The Ashbourne Giants won their first National Title by sweeping 2021 Champions Mariners Baseball 2-0 in the league final.
The Giants started the season slowly by losing their first 4 games as key players were unavailable. However the team held tough and finished the season in third place with a 10-11 record.
The Giants started the playoffs against the Dublin Spartans. The playoffs didn’t too well as the Giants blew a 7-4 9th inning lead to lose the first game 8-7. However, the Giants took the next two games, 10-2 and 11-5 to advance to the final.
The final was a rematch from last year and the Giants were not going to be denied.The Giants won the first game 9-6 and the second 13-12.
